Hi, welcome to my little illustration world. I’ve come a long way from sending mailers out to local advertising agencies and heaving around an A2 portfolio case to interviews. It seems like a century ago!
I’ve always enjoyed drawing from an early age, but never dreamt that I would be able to make a living from it! I started out many years ago as a graphic designer and have been a freelance illustrator for over 25 years, working for companies such as the National Trust, Mars Inc., Paul Lamond Games and Warner Brothers as well as numerous graphic design companies and local authorities.
Based at my home studio, I work in a wide variety of styles and subjects and in recent years I’ve done more and more children’s book illustration. I loved books when I was a child and then loved to buy picture books to sit and read to my children. They don’t appreciate it now they’re in their teens and twenties, which is disappointing, but it means I can concentrate on helping authors young and old to get their lovely stories into print! I have now worked on over fifty self-published books.
I live in the heart of Nottinghamshire with my wife and family, plus dozy dog and very catty cat.
